COVID19 Day 8

Day 8 3/22/19 Sunday

It's Sunday, so another "weekend" day, but again the days all kind of seem the same.

I am not full time working today, but keeping an eye on email, because working for an airline is a 24/7 thing.

GA cases 555, Deaths 20
8 cases in Coweta

My eye is about the same still, a little discharge this morning when I woke up, but not crusted over. I have had viral pink eye before, and it was much much worse, so I am hopeful it's just allergies.

Chris started smoking a pork butt over night. It was 9 lbs(!) so we plan to freeze some of the meat.

Pollen is still in full swing, the count today is 2462, but it's supposed to rain today, so hopefully that washes some away.

Afternoon:
The rain was hardly even measurable, maybe enough to clean the air, but not enough to wash it away.

William sounded wheezy, so we did an early nebulizer treatment this afternoon, and I did't notice the wheezing afterwards. This is a terrible time for pollen to peak and covid19 to be moving in.

Chris smoked a pork butt, and it made a ton of meat, that we can eat for a few days, and maybe freeze. I wish we could have friends over and share, but obviously we won't do that right now.

The more I read, the more I am scared. For our country, economy, my personal health, my family's health, my job.... I don't see any way out of this except a full shut down. At the rate things are going, by the end of the week. I am not an expert in any way, that's just how it looks to me.

I am hopeful that now that there are more tests available, the numbers will go up really fast and people will be shocked and stay home. I will clarify, the numbers will go up because of more tests, not because the rate of spread is increasing.

We can only take this one day at a time. I don't know what this world will look like once we are on the other side, but we'll figure it out.
